I am lost - GeoGuessr app for iPhone and iPad

If you love travel, geography, and hunting for clues (of where you are), this is an enjoyable game. However, as others have noted, there are serious flaws that pop up on occasion that can drive you crazy (and seriously lessen your score). Also, be careful not to touch the ad banners by accident; when you leave the page, the game will think you are cheating and give you zero points.

Still a lot of repeat locations, also.. I clicked close to the Ad on accident and it took me to the App Store, thus negating my points. Would be fun to make this a two person game!

Great game. You might find some place close to home, then your on a beach in the Pacific. Real fun.

This is awesome if you ever geekier out to google street view. Works perfect I love it

So the game is great and works smoothly only issue is that 30 seconds is a really short time for the timed mode but overall everything is great!

I think this app is great but after playing it 7 times I would get repeat locations. Twice Ive noticed that Ill be given the same location but the correct location is different. One was Austin Texas and the same location was supposed to also be in southern India.

Aside from the ads making the game crash and super laggy, the biggest disappointment is that we keep getting the same locations every so often!? What are the chances, with the entire world of street views to choose from, that you would get the same plaza on an island in the pacific over and over again in the same day?? 1. More random locations. 2. Remove the ads.

Great idea. Nice UI. Two problems keeping it from 5 stars: 1. Crashes way too much. Especially when I am about to get 5000 points.... 2. Games Center and Leaderboard never connect. Ive tried everything. Ive only been able to connect one score. Fix these, and its 5 stars. Update: downgrading to 1 star. I finally got through a game without a crash and the leaderboard stayed connected. I scored 5234 points, top of the leaderboard. It recorded my score in Game Center. Then I played again today and looked at the Leaderboard and my score was wiped clean. Whats up with that? I get that it looks like 1000 points is the max per a round, but three of the rounds gave me between 1070 and 1100 points. Whos fault is that? You need to really fix the scoring of this game. Im sure there are others out there who had good high scores but are not recognized either. Still good for casual fun, but dont expect your score to be recorded if you do well.

When the game was called geo gessr, it was fun to play. Both the Ph.D. S in the house and kids knew if they were in a specific region they could have a fighting chance. Now they are defeated From the get go. Now its no different than just spinning the geo earth. Boring. Please bring back the regions.

Kids and adults alike enjoy this game. Its interesting and educational to see how similar a street in Dubai is to a street in Dallas, or how different homes in Buenos Aires are from homes in Boston. It really brings home how lovely our world is. I would love to see a focused game where you try to guess the landmark.

Often the app hangs (you are unable to move around) and sometimes it wont update to the next location. (In other words the app thinks it has moved on to a new location to guess, but it brings you back to the previous location you just guessed.)

I do like the game but it has taken me to the same places often so I can memorize it and increase my score. Great but I want to go to new places please. Ive been to the same place in Cambodia three times and I just started playing.
